lace stamped Texas decorations for the tree

December 8, 2013

a friend asked me to make some Texas shaped decorations for their Christmas tree this year.  I love a new concept, so I was all in!

I started by applying paint to my cardboard cut-outs using a transfer technique and stamps (lace fabric, mesh produce bag, small bottle top, diy winecork star shape … the possibilities are endless)

glitter paint on everything, of course 🙂

then I experimented with doodles

then I put them all together for some homesweet homemade goodness.

the white lace transfer on brown cardboard has captured my heart and is my new favorite for the season ❤

I hope my friend likes them as much as I do!

Thank you for reading and hope your holiday season is already sparkling bright.

I love the idea. I wonder if it would work with a map of Toronto or Ontario? Hmmmm??

why not? sounds like a good idea! cutout letters (monograms) could be another variation 🙂
