baby love
Two baby showers in two weeks. And I’ve had this classic song from The Supremes on my mind.
I was thinking about it mostly because I wanted to incorporate that wonderful song title into a little piece of baby-themed art. But the ideas hasn’t fully baked yet (movie reference! The Graduate), so I had to go with a fall-back plan for the first baby.
I cobbled together supplies from the craft room: woven paper hearts, length of lace, driftwood, buttons, shells and beads. And voila, something pretty for baby’s room. Made with love.
it seems to me that I just make the same things over and over, with only a slight variation in the ingredients. But I liked the woven-heart-button combination in pretty shades of pink.
and the strand of lace tied around the driftwood
and the little buttons and shells dangling at the bottom.
Maybe I’m in a creative rut, or maybe a creative groove. I’ll pick groove 🙂
Thank you for reading – hope your weekend is absolutely fabulous.

Okay, first I have to tell you just how MUCH I LOVED hearing this song again!
OMG, you should have seen me standing in front of my computer monitor; movin’ and groovin’ while lip syncing with Miss Ross!!! Holy cow…this song brought back a ton of wonderful memories for me!
And second, this baby’s room creation is just lovely, Diane.
It’s a wonderful combination of all the things you love to make using all the crafts you love to create with.
It’s so sweet.
And most definitely made with LOVE.
I can feel it!
Hope you’re having a SUPREME weekend – HA!
X to you and Cristybella!
“Groove” for sure! What a special gift…love it! Laurel
This brought a big smile to my face. I am crazy for words in art. I just think they give it that added dimension of interest. So I, of course, loved what you have done here. So glad you linked it up to Motivated Monday.
Thanks so much
Pam

More lovely chimes!! Love what you do with shells, seaglass and driftwood…, thought I let you know that I posted about your wonderful creations. You can click here to view.
Yeah, I’d pick groove, too. There’s nothing wrong with having an easily identifiable style! I think you’re creation would be so lovely in a baby’s room.
Great song! Cute craft. I LOVE the woven hearts especially. Thanks for sharing last week. I hope to see you again this week.
