things I love – blue and white porcelain
The enduring appeal of blue and white porcelain sings the song of my heart. Calming blue, the color of sea and sky combined with sparkling white.
Last year, around this time, Eddie Ross designed this show stopping table arrangements in blue and white for an event benefitting DIFFA. A year later I am still thinking of the splendor he created. The layers of blue and white anchored by the beautiful porcelain vase simply thrill my senses.
The two gorgeous rooms below both feature accents of blue and white porcelain and the feeling is entirely restful. Nothing old fashioned or dated here.

An avid reader of Joni Webb’s blog Cote de Texas, I recall her post from 2009 that featured photographs from the home of Carol Glasser and her amazingly impressive collection of antiques. While I am quite certain that her home includes rare, prized furnishings, each room looked serenely comfortable and inviting. And her collection of blue and white porcelain nestled in this oversized Welsh dresser is indeed the crowning glory.

For me, blue and white porcelain will forever be a timeless favorite.
