still life

March 13, 2011

Yesterday we drove to the shore and spent a couple of sunny hours gathering artifacts from the ocean.

The shells are etched and worn.  I seem to have been drawn to those with visible evidence of their perseverance.

The still life on my kitchen floor carries me back to that blustery ocean breeze.

I’m the same way, Diane! That’s why enjoy being surrounded by things that are old, worn, and a bit tattered. They seem to carry a story with them.

Gorgeous shells! And they look absolutely fabulous against that dark charcoal floor tile.

Sound like you two ladies had a wonderful day at the beach!

    X to you and Cristy!
