making valentines
it was a weekend for making valentines. Several versions of the woven Swedish heart, mentioned earlier, and one special one for my mommy.
I wish I had loosened one or two threads along the edge of the fabric just a tiny bit before I sealed the envelope. Hindsight and all.
All the materials used for this card (above) were remnant pieces of paper and fabric that were just a little bit too big for me to throw away. And they all came together nicely here. The most time consuming part was cross stitching the heart. The 2nd page of the card is paper cut from an envelope out of my stash of odd-shaped surplus envelopes. I bound the front to the back with a short length of knotted rafia.
