old chandelier – new look
When we purchased our house in 2008, we both agreed that the dated chandelier in the dining room had to go.
Along with most of the super-generic builder’s grade lighting fixtures throughout the house. We splurged and purchased a gorgeous Italian chandelier for the dining room, but I wasn’t in a hurry to dispose of the old one immediately. The plan was to convert the office, directly across from the dining room, back into a parlor, the originally intended purpose for that room. So I knew it would need a chandelier.
Primer, latex paint and glazing liquid to the rescue.
Fresh and simple.
This looks more like a parlor, doesn’t it?
And it’s even better with people sitting inside visiting.
Lovely too, with Christmas prettiness.

It’s gorgeous! It looks just like an expensive French antique. Very nice!
Just wishing I was there eating that cake!
